England continue their road to Qatar 2022 with a visit to Andorra in the World Cup qualifiers tonight.

Gareth Southgate’s side have already achieved five wins in their first six games with a 1-1 draw to Poland the only blot on their perfect record.

Kane is on course to break Rooney’s goal record

The Three Lions have four more matches with a visit to Andorra their first test in the October international break.

England swept aside Koldo Alvarez’s men 4-0 at Wembley last month and will be on the hunt for another three points this week.

The World Cup qualifier will take place on Saturday, October 9 with a kick-off time of 7:45pm.

The hosts will have both Marc Pujol and Jordi Alaez available after the pair missed the 4-0 defeat at Wembley last month.

Marc Vales, who scored twice in the win over San Marino, is also back after his suspension.

But Albert Alavedra, Moises San Nicolas and Marcio Vieira are all banned after picking up second yellow cards against Hungary.

England meanwhile have the chance to hand caps to a number of fringe players considering their extensive injury list.

James Ward-Prowse was a late addition to the squad after Kalvin Phillips was deemed unfit.

Tammy Abraham and Ben Chilwell were also called up four days late following Reece James’ withdrawal due to injury, with the former expected to start.

The likes of Fikayo Tomori could feature with Harry Maguire ruled out while Aaron Ramsdale will hope to be rewarded for his Arsenal form.

Andorra v England: What has been said?

Harry Kane has the opportunity to surpass Wayne Rooney’s competitive goal scoring record for England during the international break.

And England manager Gareth Southgate reaffirmed his faith in Kane’s ability to deliver big game performances on the pitch after a tough start to the season with Spurs.

“Every couple of months I think I sit here and have to answer similar questions and then Harry goes out and scores a load of goals for us,” said Southgate.

“It’s the life of being a high-profile player. You’ve got to accept that there’s going to be that speculation and that intensity of analysis of your performances.

“Last month we had three games, he played in all three and scored a goal in each. From our perspective, he continues to be such a critical part of what we do and an important player, and I’m sure he’s going to be highly motivated when he comes to see us next week.

“He’s closing in on a number of incredible goal scorers. We obviously had the sad news about Jimmy Greaves in the last couple of weeks and you know how he is in those echelons of incredible names who have scored a lot of goals for England.”
