How the Gunners got on individually in their Carabao Cup third round tie against the Dons at the Emirates

Arsenal 3-0 AFC Wimbledon: Player ratings

Bernd Leno: 6
Hardly tested throughout the match as Wimbledon could do little to trouble him. Looked decent enough on the ball, but not really the performance needed to suggest he needs to be starting the North London Derby on Sunday.

Cedric: 7
Showed some nice moments of desire to win some corners for Arsenal. His delivery after that though left a little to be desired. Decent performance from the Portuguese but not threatening Tomiyasu in the first team.

Rob Holding: 6
Didn't really have much to do but never looked troubled at any point. Some good leadership at the back particularly when Wimbledon had set pieces which are an area of strength for the Dons.

Pablo Mari: 6
A game like this was crucial for the Spaniard to build up his confidence after some awful displays in the Premier League that saw him dropped in favour of Sead Kolasinac. Nothing spectacular, but more importantly nothing drastic either.

Nuno Tavares:7
Some moments where he was a little out of position defensively and a foul throw, but looked to be an aggressive attacking threat throughout. Was unlucky not to get his first competitive Arsenal goal as he hit the post with a fine header.

Thomas Partey: 7
Perhaps a surprise inclusion given the importance of Sunday's game, but the Ghanaian offers such a big improvement to the Arsenal midfield when he's on the pitch. Controlled the game and looked great again in the deepest of a three man midfield.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles: 6
Some moments where lapses in concentration saw the England international lose possession, but an assured performance overall in his preferred central midfield role yet again.

Albert Sambi Lokonga: 6
The Belgian played in both the six and the eight positions but looked far happier in the latter. Was able to get forward but covered defensively well. A solid all round display from the 21-year-old.

Gabriel Martinelli: 7
Won the penalty early in the game and looked by far the most likely to create anything else for the Gunners. The Brazilian was typically busy throughout, but lacked poise in the crucial moments.

Alexandre Lacazette: 6
Seems strange to say of a man who got a goal and an assist, but the lacklustre nature of his display as the game went on will be a concern. Really faded in the second half despite some decent link up play.

Eddie Nketiah: 7
A real Jekyll and Hyde night for the England Under-21 international. Passed the ball poorly on occasion and tried to do too much, but then showed moments of excellence to create shooting opportunities and the finish for his goal was sublime.

Substitutes -

Emile Smith Rowe: 7
Brought on around the hour mark in the free eight role and couldn't influence the game much. Was in the box for a key moment to make it 2-0 as Arsenal were rewarded for a more offensive approach.

Bukayo Saka: 8
Involved in the build up to both the second and third goals as Arsenal took control of the game. Perhaps a surprise sub given the players in need of minutes on the bench, but an effective one.

Flo Balogun: N/A
Came on too late to influence the game.
