CAF zone meetings are held to examine security and safety issues across Africa.

Security and Safety Officers (SSO) from the CAF, zones, and member associations met virtually on Wednesday to talk about a variety of issues relating to safety and security operations throughout Africa. During the significant continental meeting hosted by the CAF Security and Safety Department, the 100 attendees from the various CAF member associations were informed of the CAF Safety and Security annual plan for the success of sporting events.

A member of the CAF Executive Committee and Chairman of the Safety and Security Committee, Colonel Major Djibrilla Hima Hamidou, made an opening address during which he asked the audience to "accept the measure of [their] responsibilities." No matter how gorgeous the game is, security is paramount.
