Chelsea have a few major injury doubts as they continue their Champions League title defence against Juventus in Turin.
Chelsea have plenty to think about as they prepare to take on Juventus in their second Champions League group game of the campaign.
Thomas Tuchel's Blues made a bright start to the season but fell to a slender 1-0 defeat to Manchester City last time out at Stamford Bridge.
That loss at the hands of the reigning European champions ended Chelsea's impressive eight-game unbeaten run at the start of the campaign, having also progressed to the fourth round of the Carabao Cup and begun their Champions League defence with a 1-0 victory against Zenit St. Petersburg.
It goes without saying then that the Blues will be keen to make it two wins out of two in Europe as they travel to Turin to square-off with Italian giants Juventus.
With that in mind, football.london takes a look at the latest injury worries ahead of the game:
N'Golo Kante
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has already revealed the absence of Kante for the trip to Italy.
The German confirmed in his pre-match press conference that the Frenchman had tested positive for Covid-19 and so would not be available to play.
He said: "N'Golo unfortunately tested positive, and needs to have time and follow the government protocols. "He was not in training today and of course was not with the group."
Reece James
Another major absence for the trip to the Juventus Stadium is Reece James. The defender was forced off in the first-half against Manchester City at Stamford Bridge, eventually being replaced by veteran defender Thiago Silva.
Tuchel gave a somewhat worrying update on his condition during his pre-match press conference.
He continued: "Reece's injury is still very painful and it will come down to pain management in the end. How much he can accept but right no we're looking at a minimum of one more week."
Mason Mount
Fellow academy graduate Mason Mount is also set to join James on the sidelines as he continues his recovery from a 'surprise' injury in the Carabao Cup victory versus Aston Villa.
He played the full game but was omitted from the side against Manchester City with Tuchel remaining none the wiser over his potential recovery.
He said: "I absolutely don’t know, we have to see. In the end it will be a matter of hours as to whether he makes it or not."
The 22-year-old has since been ruled out for the clash against Juventus.
Christian Pulisic
The American international suffered an ankle injury on international duty with the USMNT and missed the Premier League games against Aston Villa and Tottenham.
He did not appear in the cup reunion with the Villans and was once again restricted to the sidelines against Manchester City.
Despite being back in full training, the winger is also set to be missing from the Chelsea squad in Italy.
