Former Mauritanian attacking midfielder Moustapha Sall is enjoying his new position in the game after serving as French manager Corentin Martins' assistant while in charge of the Mourabitounes.

Now that Martins has been named the manager of the Libyan national team, which plans to compete at the next TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d'Ivoire, Sall has decided to reunite with his former employer.

With Sall on his backroom team, the Frenchman intends to duplicate the qualification feat with Libya, which is emerging from a civil war. The Frenchman is renowned for the great work he did to help Mauritania qualify for the AFCON.

The former Mauritanian midfielder is currently on vacation in his home country having spent some weeks in Libya in their recent AFCON qualifiers with the North Africans beating Botswana 1-0 before falling 2-0 to Equatorial Guinea.
