It might take five or six weeks before Darwin Nunez makes a start for the squad once more, according to former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher.
In response to Nunez's red card during Monday's 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace, Carragher said this on Sky Sports.
The striker will now miss the Reds' next three games, beginning with Monday's trip to Manchester United, after being dismissed for headbutting Joachim Andersen.
"As a Liverpool player, it's been a dreadful start for him. As Jurgen Klopp tries to integrate him into a new team, it is a nightmare.
“The issue wasn’t tonight, the problem is how long it will be until he is back in the team as he’ll likely only be on the bench after the suspension to get up to speed so it could be five or six weeks until we see him back in the Liverpool starting XI,” Carragher said.
