Even though Erik ten Hag acknowledged that life at Manchester United would be challenging, he claimed that he is confident he will "get the job done."

After losing their opening two games to Brentford and Brighton, United will play Liverpool on Monday night at Old Trafford.

Ten Hag has backed himself to return the team to prosperity, though.

The former Ajax manager said at a news conference, "I'm not here for myself; I'm here for the club and to rehabilitate the club.

"I was aware that this would be a difficulty before I accepted it.

"I anticipated that it would be challenging, but I welcomed that since in my career, everywhere I started, the start was difficult but I get it done, and I’m convinced I will get it done here as well.”
