John Fury is ready to take a leaf out of Jake Paul’s book and make a high-stakes bet on a boxing fight.

His son, Tyson Fury, is in action this weekend as he defends his WBC heavyweight title against Deontay Wilder in their trilogy encounter.

The Fury patriarch spoke to Jim White on talkSPORT on Thursday and he said he doesn’t give the Bronze Bomber a single chance.

“We don’t losing … Tyson doesn’t do loosing,” John Fury stated.

“I’ve seen Wilder at all the press conferences and in the build-up, I’ve seen his body language… he knows what’s coming. He absolutely knows.”
 

Fury senior is so confident Tyson will win he’s prepared to walk through London naked if he doesn’t. Well, basically naked.

“He can’t beat Tyson no matter what he does,” he added.

“Tyson is prepared to die in the ring and that’s the difference between him and other fighters.

“I can see right through Wilder. The charade he’s doing there… any man that makes excuses like him with a mental attitude like him is no good. 

“If he beats my son, I’ll go through London Square with no trousers on. That’s how confident I am of my son beating Wilder. I don’t give him any chance at all.”

But what about Wilder’s power? Plenty of people are giving the American a ‘puncher’s chance’, but Fury Snr doesn’t even give him that.

He said: “Nah, not at all and I’ll tell you why: If he couldn’t knock out my son when he lost ten stone in as many months when he was at his weakest when he was 50 percent, he’s got no chance now. None.

“If the man can’t do it at your poorest point, forget about when Tyson is in his pomp now. His mindset is too strong for him and any other boxer out there.”

The bad blood between Fury and Wilder has festered over the past 18 months with Wilder asserting that Fury cheated during their rematch in February 2020.

For that, Fury Snr says Tyson is ultra-motivated to dismantle his foe.

“Tyson is going to knock him out and end his career,” he continued.

“Tyson said to me, ‘see what he’s been saying about me this lad? I’m going to give him like he’s never got before. His career’s over.
 

“For what he’s said, trying to discredit my son, we want to hate Wilder. 

“He’ll pay the price for trying to undermine everything that he’s done. If he knew what was coming his way, he’d think, ‘they’re not paying me enough money.”

When asked about Anthony Joshua’s loss and the fears Fury could also lose to shift power away from UK heavyweights, John was concise.

“There are only two heavyweights to talk about today: Oleksandr Usyk and my son. The rest of them – no.”
