Kulusevski labeled 'special' after Tottenham win by Chris Sutton

Chris Sutton took to Twitter following Tottenham Hotspur’s stunning win over Everton to suggest that Dejan Kulusevski looks a special player for Antonio Conte’s men.

Kulusevski has made an outstanding start to life in North London. He went into the clash with the Toffees having already scored two goals in the Premier League.

He was unable to add to his tally on Monday. But he more than played his part in the emphatic victory over Frank Lampard’s men.

Kulusevski provided two assists for Tottenham. And Everton seemed to have little success when trying to wrestle the ball off the 21-year-old. Only Matt Doherty provided a greater number of key passes during the 5-0 victory, according to Whoscored.

The January window is now looking a lot better for Tottenham as Kulusevski continues to shine

Admittedly, it is difficult not to get carried away. But Tottenham will now turn their attention to securing their first back-to-back wins since the turn of the year.

But the likes of Rodrigo Bentancur and Kulusevski have been hugely impressive throughout their spells following their arrivals in the January transfer window.

The pair have quickly cemented their places in Conte’s strongest side. Kulusevski, in particular, is making the decision Tottenham face on his future seem a no-brainer.

The Swede is technically on loan in North London. But Spurs will need little thinking time about keeping him should this form continue.

He already has the same number of goals as Lucas Moura and Steven Bergwijn. And he is now only one assist behind Lucas in the Premier League.

January still saw mistakes. But Tottenham signing Kulusevski is currently looking like a masterstroke.
