Mohamed Salah has seen his odds slashed to win the PFA Player of the Year after his world-class performance and wonder goal against Manchester City.

 

The Liverpool superstar was at his brilliant best as he provided an assist before scoring in his seventh consecutive match of the season on Sunday.

The Egyptian King, who has been likened to Lionel Messi, is now just behind the Argentine’s Ballon d’Or rival Cristiano Ronaldo, according to the bookies.
 

Salah has seen his odds to win PFA Player of the Year shortened from 12/1 to 6/1, making him the second favourite to win the accolade.

 

But BetVictor still placed Manchester United icon, Ronaldo, as the one to beat at 4/1, with teammate Bruno Fernandes down in third at 8/1.

Salah has overtaken Ronaldo in the scoring charts after his stunning strike against City, and the bookies have tipped him to beat the Portuguese come the end of this season.


The Liverpool winger is joint top of the standings, alongside Leicester’s Jamie Vardy, with six goals this campaign so far, while he has also had the most shots and shots on target.
