The Confederation of African Football (CAF) President Dr. Patrice Motsepe officially launched the Africa Super League this afternoon in Arusha, Tanzania, ushering in a new era.

The event included participation from 52 Member Associations, notable football club executives, legends, and FIFA President Gianni Infantino.

The CEO of Simba Sports Club, Barbara Jaime Gonzalez, expressed her excitement for the development when she was present for the launch. "Since football is a business, it's always a good thing when there is an influx of cash. The Africa Super League has officially established, and as a club, we are overjoyed and excited for it to get underway in 2019."
