Chelsea forward Romelu Lukaku is the “number one” striker in the world, according to Ballon d’Or winner Kaka.

Lukaku secured his return to Chelsea this summer from Inter Milan for a fee in the region of £97m.

According to Baboyo, Romelu Lukaku could emerge as the Ballon d'Or winner at the end of the race.

The forward had a brilliant two-year spell at Milan before this move. He won the Serie A title last term and he scored 64 goals from 95 outings for them.

However, we've persevered and are nearing the end of the campaign which means the race for the Ballon d'Or is only heating up.

Chelsea targets Erling Haaland and Romelu Lukaku are on the list. If we get either of them this summer, we'd bang goals in left, right, and center!

Lukaku was also Belgium's most prolific goalscorer at Euro 2020 with four goals in five appearances. While the Red Devils' campaign came to a premature end, Lukaku was one of the tournament's best players and was at his inspirational best.

The Inter Milan hitman bagged 24 goals and 11 assists in the Serie A and blossomed under the guidance of Antonio Conte. The Nerazzurri have broken Juventus' stranglehold on the Serie A and Lukaku's incredible efforts could see him pull off a Ballon d'Or coup this year.
