Ronaldo was instructed to end his Man Utd contract and sign with a French Champions League team.

Samir Nasri, a former Arsenal and Manchester United midfielder, has recommended that Cristiano Ronaldo leave Manchester United and join Marseille in Ligue 1.

Nasri believes that Ronaldo and Alexis Sanchez, who joined the French club this summer, might make a strong team.

"I can help him with a solution. He has the option to end his contract, and Marseille makes an effort to at least give him something before inviting him to play in the Champions League.

Nasri said to Canal+ Sport that a Cristiano Ronaldo-Alexis Sanchez attack would look good.

Ronaldo played only five minutes in Monday's 2-1 victory against Liverpool for United.
