As the top teams on the continent gear up for what is anticipated to be an intriguing campaign, anticipation is growing as the CAF 2022/23 interclubs tournament season approaches.
The TotalEnergies CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup preliminary rounds will take place on Friday, September 9, 2022, marking the start of the 2022–23 campaign.
58 teams will compete in the TotalEnergies Champions League in an effort to unseat the reigning African champion Wydad Athletic Club of Morocco.
In the TotalEnergies Confederation Cup, a total of 50 clubs have been confirmed. They will be vying for the top honours to unseat current champions RS Berkane.
The first leg of the matches of the first preliminary round will be played on September 9-11 with the return matches scheduled to be played a week later.
