Man Utd set to sign Kim | Talks include move for Osimhen
Napoli defender Min-Jae Kim has decided to join Man Utd this summer and negotiations between the clubs also include a move for in-demand striker Victor Osimhen, according to the Daily Mirror.

The South Korea international has been a regular in Luciano Spalletti's title-winning side and reportedly has a £40m release clause .

Last week, The Sun reported United are preparing a £53m offer for the centre-back in order to secure the deal.

Man Utd centre-backs Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez have suffered long-term injuries, while Harry Maguire has struggled for game time under Erik ten Hag.

The 26-year-old joined Napoli from Fenerbache to replace Chelsea-bound Kalidou Koulibaly last season and has excelled in Serie A.

Kim has completed more passes than any other player in the division this term , while only seven players have made more passes in the opposition half.

Additionally, the South Korean offers immense aerial power, with only Verona striker Milan Djuric winning more duels this season - and he also ranks among the elite for interceptions and regaining possession.

Arsenal moving 'sooner rather than later'
The Athletic's David Ornstein on Arsenal's summer targets:

"Arsenal's interest in Declan Rice is well-documented, and they will have competition for him. They looked at it in January, similarly with Caicedo though they went further with that.

"I'm not sure they'll be able to do both financially, but clearly the interest is there. They want a creative midfielder as well, that's why the likes of Mason Mount have come onto their radar.

"At the back, they'll have to look to do something; their defensive record, at home in particular, is the worst it's been since about 1984. That means there's going to need to be some re-enforcements at centre-back, at right-back, let's see what happens with Kieran Tierney too.

"What they could raise through departures, perhaps £100m, clearly there's an opportunity to trade and a lot of eyes will be on Edu in what he's able to do. Arsenal are going to be tested and the evidence so far is they've done pretty well.

"It's going to be a huge summer,  and it looks like they're trying to move quickly to get stuff done sooner rather than later."

Arsenal set to open talks for £90m Rice | Arteta backed for summer transfer splurge
Arsenal are set to open talks with West Ham over a £90m swoop for Declan Rice as Emirates chiefs prepare to loosen the purse strings ahead of their Champions League return this summer.

Arsenal have cleared Mikel Arteta to break the club’s spending record this summer in a splurge that may exceed £200m and see his midfield revamped with Rice and Brighton’s Moises Caicedo.

Brentford progressing in Flekken talks
Brentford are progressing with a deal to sign Freiburg goalkeeper Mark Flekken.

The player has indicated he is willing to join the Bees this summer and the club are prepared to trigger a release clause in his contract worth just over £11m.

The deal is not done yet however, and talks will continue in the coming days.

But Brentford are drawing up a contract for him that is likely to last either four or five years in length.

Last week, Sky Sports News revealed Brentford have three leading goalkeeper targets this summer in Flekken, Nantes' Alban Lafont and Liverpool's Caoimhin Kelleher.

Sky Germany are reporting this evening that there is an expectation in Germany that Flekken will join Brentford.

Freiburg sporting director Jochen Saier has said: "It may be that Mark leaves us."

Tillman: Permanent Rangers move 50-50
Malik Tillman rates the prospect of him joining Rangers in a permanent transfer as "50-50".

The Bayern Munich midfielder's season-long loan at Ibrox was recently cutshort by a hamstring injury and he returned to Germany.

But the United States international was back in Glasgow on Sunday to collect the PFA Scotland Men's Young Player of the Year award. The 20-year-old told Sky Sports News: "I hoped for a better ending but it's quite common in football to get injuries so I am unlucky to be one of them.

"I have had a great time here. It might not be the end - we will see what's going to happen in the summer.

"It's 50-50. It's up to Rangers, up to Bayern and up to me, so it's completely open.

"I am going to speak to Michael Beale in the coming days and then see what he is saying, see what Bayern are saying, and then I will decide."

Former Swansea and Tottenham striker Fernando Llorente has announced his retirement from football.

The World Cup and European Championship winner for Spain has ended his career at the age of 38. The striker was at clubs such as Athletic Bilbao, Sevilla, Juventus, Tottenham and Napoli.

"I dreamed of becoming a professional footballer from a very young age," Llorente wrote on social media. "Who would have thought that I’d end up living out that dream, complete with all the wonderful opportunities that football has brought me throughout my career?

"I’ve been so lucky to be able to dedicate myself to doing the thing that I love for so many years. It’s been a long road, and with work, sacrifice, humility and passion, I’ve enjoyed being part of truly great teams, where I always performed with pride and gave my all.

Laporta: Barcelona is Messi's home
Barcelona's president Joan Laporta says the Nou Camp is Lionel Messi's home as the club try to re-sign him this summer.

Messi is out of contract at Paris Saint-Germain in the summer but reports suggest he could be off to Saudi Arabia.

Laporta, though, thinks Barcelona have an edge in negotiations over any Saudi club because of the emotional connection Messi feels with the club he joined aged 13.History backs us, the feelings are too strong, we have 400 million fans around the world too," Laporta told TV3.

Messi left Barcelona in 2021 but has struggled to settle in the French capital.

"He is a Paris St-Germain player and we have to wait until the end of the season, until it is over, and then we can talk more calmly about this," Laporta added.

"With all due respect to Saudi Arabia, Barca is Barca, and it is home."
