Gladbach parted ways with manager Daniel Farke after one season, having finished the campaign 10th and seven points adrift of the European qualification places.

Seoane, 44, has signed a three-year contract with Gladbach.

Brazil still targeting Ancelotti as next coach
Brazil are still intent on making Carlo Ancelotti their new coach, with Brazilian football confederation president Ednaldo Rodrigues saying he would use the national team's friendlies in Europe to talk to the Real Madrid boss.

Rodrigues said he would also approach the Spanish club's president Florentino Perez and described Ancelotti as their first choice to replace Tite, who left Brazil after their quarter-final exit at the World Cup in Qatar last year.

"He remains the Plan A and in this trip with the selection in Europe we can have greater clarity," Rodrigues said on Tuesday in a press event in Rio de Janeiro.

Brazil will play Guinea in Spain on June 17 and Senegal in Portugal three days later.

Chelsea target Veiga | Havertz tells Blues he wants exit
Chelsea have entered the race to sign the exciting Celta Vigo midfielder Gabri Veiga and are likely to sell Kai Havertz after being made aware of the German forward’s desire to leave, according to The Guardian.

Mauricio Pochettino faces an extensive rebuild after becoming Chelsea’s head coach and is prioritising additions in midfield, while Chelsea also want a goalkeeper and a striker.

Veiga has emerged as one of the best young midfielders in Europe and his contract contains a €40m (£34.4m) buyout clause.

Liverpool and Barcelona are also keen on the 21-year-old but Chelsea are prepared to push hard for him.

Havertz has emerged as a target for Real Madrid, who could face competition from Bayern Munich.

The 23-year-old has told Chelsea he wants a fresh challenge. He has two years on his deal and is unlikely to sign an extension.

It is understood Chelsea will demand £75m for Havertz.

Zaha's representatives have also been approached by Atletico Madrid and three other Champions League clubs.

The Ivory Coast international has not made a decision on his future yet and wants to assess all his options.

Signing a new contract at Crystal Palace has not been ruled out, with his current deal set to expire at the end of June.

Di Maria confirms Juventus departure
Angel Di Maria has confirmed his exit from Juventus after just one year at the club.

Di Maria joined the Serie A giants as a free agent last summer after leaving Paris Saint-Germain.

The 35-year-old announced his departure on social media, writing: "This is the end of a difficult and complicated period.

"I leave with the peace of mind that I gave everything I had to help the club continue to win titles, but it wasn't possible.

"I leave with the bitter taste of not having achieved it but with the happiness of taking with me many friends from the wonderful dressing room I was part of.

"Thanks to all my team-mates for the affection they gave me from the first day, I always felt at home.

"A big greeting to all the Juventinos for the affection they show me every day. A big hug, I carry you in my heart."
