Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder will do battle for a third time on Saturday night.
Fury produced one of heavyweight boxing’s finest ever performances to destroy Wilder in February 2020 and become a world champion once again.
Fury dominated their Las Vegas rematch from the first bell, flooring his opponent several times before his corner threw in the towel.
His win had led to calls for him to face off against fellow British superstar Anthony Joshua in a huge undisputed title clash before AJ lost his belts to Oleksandr Usyk.
After much debate, a date and venue for that era-defining fight was set but Wilder’s representatives took legal action to invoke a clause in his contract with Fury to secure a trilogy clash.
A date for their third meeting was then made for this summer but that was put on hold with Fury sidelined after testing positive for COVID-19.
The fight has now been rearranged and is nearly here…
Fury vs Wilder 3: Date and time
The trilogy bout is all set for this weekend, Saturday, October 9.
It is taking place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas with a full house of 20,000 fans set to be in attendance
The undercard will get going at midnight UK time with the main event ring walks expected between 4am and 5am on Sunday morning.
The WBC and The Ring heavyweight titles will be on the line
Joshua had hoped to face the winner of Fury v Wilder 3 but his dreams of unifying the heavyweight titles next year have been left in tatters after he was outclassed by Usyk.
Usyk was superb against AJ at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and the two will now likely face off in a rematch in early 2022.
