Manchester United fans were on Sunday fearing the worst after seeing Raphael Varane forced off with an injury while playing for France.
Varane went down holding his leg at the end of the first half against Spain in the UEFA Nations League final, though an official diagnosis remains unknown at the time of writing.
However, this hasn't stopped United fans from taking to social media to express concern over United's summer signing from Real Madrid and a possible significant period on the sidelines.
Some supporters were more hopeful, hoping that it wasn't real or that it wasn't anything too serious, while one simple put "we're finished."
One tweeted: "Do not tell me varane is injured."
"Varane will be fine," one Twitter user said, while another added: "Varane injured. Hope it's nothing bad."
The injury occurred when Varane was trying to stop a cross, though it is currently unknown whether he hurt himself then or in the build-up to that.
